[edit] Bootleg page
Hi there!
Thanks for your message, and no need to remove it from my talk page. I really don't know what happened to that article, but I suspect it met the criteria for speedy-deletion. In fact, let me check... yes, the deletion logs say that the article was deleted for being "Unencyclopedic; seen as endorsement."
I think what's going on is that most of the info you were quoting is already available, in the various articles already extant which relate to bootlegging and copyright infringement. Getting any more specific than that would actually turn into detailed information on Sailor Moon bootlegs, which could lead to Wikipedia being a source for people who want to buy bootlegs, making it easier for those people. Does that make sense?
So I know your intentions were the best, but I guess this is a sensitive topic. Listing bootleggers, even as 'people to avoid', would probably cause people to go from here to there and make purchases, which could get Wikipedia in legal trouble.
Sorry about that! I hope it answers your question, and I hope you'll continue to contribute. If you like to join us working on Sailor Moon articles, please feel welcome to take a look at WikiProject Sailor Moon. Thanks and good luck! --Masamage 02:38, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Sm1box.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Sm1box.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
