[edit] What to do?

Is the subject of this article noteworthy of itself, notwithstanding it was (presumably) created by the subject. Should this article be put up for AfD? I have forebore wikifying the article in case it is deemed deletable, but it is on my watchlist and I will do what I can should it be decided to keep.LessHeard vanU 14:25, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

We typically do not encourage people to write their own biographies. (see WP:BIO, WP:AB and WP:BLP for policy guidance) We prefer it if the person is notable enough that someone else does it. That said, I think Justin Dillon, the King's Uni lecturer, passes my rough notability test. There are other Justin Dillons out there but he gets a lot of google hits. Further, one of the books he edited, Becoming a Teacher: Issues in Secondary Teaching which I spot checked, has a sales rank on Amazon UK that is in the top 10,000. He still might not be notable enough but I'd tend to think he is. So the article is probably a keeper. I am not sure the entire bibliography is a keeper though. Further edits ought to be carried out by someone else than the subject though. ++Lar: t/c 19:41, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
I will make a start on wikifying the text, so any further cleanup does not have to deal with that.LessHeard vanU 22:00, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article requires formatting

I've wikilinked and rewritten as far as I can; some other enthusiast is needed to format article to wiki standard.LessHeard vanU 11:53, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
