Justin Shekoski

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Justin Shekoski is the guitarist for post-hardcore band Saosin. He is one of the original members of Saosin, along with Beau Burchell. Shekoski is known for his famous "guitar-la-hoop". He does this by throwing the guitar over his shoulder in a whirling motion. Some fans think he screams on the Translating the Name EP, but that is actually Anthony Green, with Shekoski performing screams at live shows.

[edit] Live setup

Justin currently uses Les Paul Customs into a Hughes & Kettner Triamp Mk.II through a Mesa/Boogie Traditional Straight 4x12. He has been previously seen with Schecter 006 Elites (Early tours), Gibson SG Standards, and Fender Telecasters loaded with Seymour Duncan Hot Rails. His rack consists of a Furman power conditioner, a Korg DT tuner, TC Electronic G Major, a GCX midi controller, and a rack tray. The tray contains a Boss noise suppressor and a Shure wireless receiver. The racks and cases are made by Encore Cases. He uses Ernie Ball .011-.052 strings. Shekoski uses Dunlop Turtex .73mm guitar picks.
