Jurong Island Bus Terminal is a bus terminal on the southwest of Jurong Island, Singapore, serving the only form of public transport on the offshore island off the southwest coast of the main island. Initially operated by SBS Transit using the first buses powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) to Jurong East Bus Interchange, it was forced to terminate these services when its contract, awarded by Jurong Town Corporation, expired. Transportation to the island is now provided by Transit Network Consortium (TNC), a conglomerate of small bus companies from Jurong East Bus Interchange.
As the terminal still maintains the only CNG-refueling station in Singapore, it has since been taken over by a private bus company operating two routes within the island only.
[edit] Trivia
The CNG buses that used to operate on Jurong Island were transferred to SBS Transit 105. However, these buses must still be refueled at Jurong Island. [1]
