Junkers Ju 252
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Junkers Ju 252 was a transport plane manufactured by Junkers that made its first flight in late October 1941. It was planned to replace the Junkers Ju 52/3m aircraft, but only 15 of its kind were built. Although it was a vast improvement over the Junkers Ju 52/3m, Junkers was instructed to investigate the possibility of redesigning the aircraft in order to make minimum demands on supplies of strategic materials and utilize power plants not required by combat aircraft. The result was the Junkers Ju 352.
