Junije Palmotić (1607 - 1657) was a Croatian baroque writer, nobleman, and dramatist from Dubrovnik.

He studied, concentrating itself on classic letters, jurisprudence and philosophy. Along all the course of its life he never did not abandon Ragusa, where he covered various classified functions to the aristocrats of the time. When Palmotta have twenty years was a member of the Big Council in the Republic. It began to write young, introducing itself like of Ivan Gundulić tradition, from skillful inspired of Ovid, Virgilio, Tasso and Ariosto. Poet of Latin culture, wrote in Slavic language:
