Jungle Twins

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jungle Twins was a comic book series published by Gold Key Comics in the 1970s.

Having recently lost the rights to do Tarzan, Gold Key created this original jungle series to take it's place. The Jungle Twins are really twins Tono and Kono. Of European birth, they were raised by an African Chief, and traveled through Africa, having adventures. It was later revealed they were of royal decent, their parents being the rules of Glockenberg, a kingdom in Europe.

The series was created by writer Gaylord DuBois and artist Paul Norris. The comic lasted 17 issues, from 1972 to 1975. In 1982, "Whitman Comics" reprinted issue #1 as #18.
