Jungle Girl (comics)

Jungle Girl is a name or descriptor, often used in popular fiction, of a female superhero or adventurer character. The first such character was Rima from the 1904 novel Green Mansions. Sheena, probably the best known jungle girl, made her debut in a self-titled comic book in spring of 1942. Subsequently, Jungle Girl stories became a popular comic book genre.
