[edit] History
[edit] Tekken 2
Jun is an officer of the WWWC, a wildlife protection organization. She is called "The Chosen One" by her relatives. She is highly psychic and can sense a mysterious power surrounding Kazuya, which turns out to be the Devil Gene threatening to turn him into a demonic version of himself. At the WWWC's orders, she sets out to arrest Kazuya Mishima, who smuggles environmentally-protected animals. She encounters Wang Jinrei who battles her and after her victory, Wang makes her his heir which Marshall Law had failed to be. Later, Jun seeks to free Kazuya of his evil power.
When the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2 was coming to an end, Jun Kazama comes to the stunning realization that Kazuya's supernatural strength stems from Devil. But she cannot help being drawn to him, propelled by a mystic force beyond her control. Her fights take place in Wiltshire, England, as Stonehenge can be seen in the background.
[edit] Tekken 3
During the "King of Iron Fist Tournament 2", Jun Kazama became pregnant by Kazuya Mishima. At the conclusion of the tournament, Devil left Kazuya and attempted to possess Jun's unborn child, but Jun defeated Devil. After raising Jin for 15 years, Jun sensed the approaching of Ogre and warned Jin to seek out his grandfather Heihachi should anything happen to her. One night, Ogre did indeed attack, and Jun went missing.
[edit] Tekken 4
In Tekken 4, her figure appeared in the ending of Jin Kazama to prevent him from killing his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima. Whether it was her soul or Jin's vision is still questionable, since her status is labeled as missing.
[edit] Tekken 5
In the optional "Devil Within" minigame, Jin finds clues that lead him to believe that Jun is alive, but it turns out to be Ogre.
[edit] Trivia
- Jun Kazama appears as a mid-boss in the arcade version of Tekken 2 if the "New Character" setting in Test Mode is set to "Baek & Lei", which can only be beaten using Marshall Law. This can be switched around so that she is one of the ten characters the player begins with.
- Also, if the "New Character" test setting is set to "Baek & Lei", Jun Kazama can NOT be selected, as the bottom of the screen says, "Now 22 Characters Are Selectable!" during the demonstrations. To avoid this problem, change the test settings to "Jun & Lei" under the "New Character" setting. This adds one more character, which is the one described in this article.
- In the Playstation Version Tekken 2, playing with Devil/Angel, Jun will be the mid boss on stage 9.
- In the PlayStation 2 version of Tekken 5, however, Jun Kazama can be selected in Tekken 2 in Arcade History Mode even if the "New Character" test setting is set to "Baek & Lei" (the default is "Jun & Lei"). This does NOT apply to the arcade version of the game.
- The kanji for "Jun" means "pure" in Japanese.
