[edit] Overview
Jumping Flash! is a platform game released in 1995 for the PlayStation. It is a spiritual sequel to Geograph Seal, an earlier game by the same developer, and the game play is nearly identical to that title. The title is partially a play on "Jumpin' Jack Flash", a famous Rolling Stones single. While the game is a platform game, it is unique in that it is played from a first person perspective.

There are 18 main levels, of which there are 7 boss levels and an extra 6 bonus levels. In the main levels, there are 4 jetpods with "e", "x", "i", and "t" on them. Upon collecting them, landing on the exit platform is all that remains to finishing the level. Two levels are indoor levels with a narrow interior and somewhat like a maze. The last level in each of 6 worlds is a boss fight. The bonus levels feature various blocks with balloons in them. Popping the balloons yields either coins or powerups. Powerups come in the form of picture frames. Upon completing the 18 main levels, the levels can be played again with objects rearranged and a more difficult setup.
The enemies are often of animal-like creatures like bugs and penguins, but also robots and plants. Most have simple actions such as wondering around aimlessly shooting projectiles or throwing projectiles out randomly. A few, however, have more intelligence such as the bomb-forming beetles or missile-shooting dogs and fish.
There are special objects scattered around in each level in a cartoon-like way such as the slippery road sign in world 4-1 or frying pans with eggs in them in over volcanoes in world 1-2.
The user interface resembles that of viewing through Robbit's eyes. The top part shows the time remaining and score. The top left show firework powerups. The top right has the radar, showing where enemies, powerups, jetpods, and enemy projectiles are. The bottom shows the health meter on the sides with the number of lives in the center of it.
Robbit has 3 main types of actions, but expandable with special modes. Robbit can jump up to 3 times, 2 in mid-air but can be extended to 6 jumps, 5 in mid-air. He also shoots a low power beam where a target indictor is centered. The third action is the use of fireworks such as cherry bombs, rockets, roman candles, and twisters. Extended actions include high-speed falling and movement.
Jumping Flash! was followed by two sequels, Jumping Flash! 2 and the Japanese exclusive Robbit Mon Dieu, both also released on PlayStation.

An evil and demented scientist named Baron Aloha is planning to remove Organism-Ocuppied pieces of land from a planet known as Crater Planet, using his gigantic land-lifting machines. As the residents of Crater Planet call for help, the Universal City Hall (a universal version of Interpol) sends one of their robotic rabbit agents, Robbit, to stop Aloha and save Crater Planet from emptiness.

Jumping Flash was launched in the Playstation Store for Playstation 3 as a downloadable Playstation game for the portable playstation, PSP. It is avalible in North America priced at $5.99
[edit] Bugs and glitches
There are a few bugs and glitches in Jumping Flash.
- By carefully using the missiles the red dogs launch using the extended action mode, it is possible to climb extremely high, but at a certain point, Robbit suddenly stops going up higher, but other objects can continue going higher. It takes 13 seconds to fall back to the lowest point from the top.
