I am relatively inexperienced with Wiki, but have tremendous respect for those who are seasoned Wikis! It is not an easy job, for sure!
My interests are anything health related, particularly obesity and overweight issues. I was once 300+ pounds and had little hope of life ever turning around or my health improving, thankfully it did and I lost 130 pounds.
Dr. Mehmet Oz called me a "global obesity activist" and I really like that title and think it sums me up well.
If you ever want my help editing any health related pages, just ask and I will do my best.
I am a published author of two books, Awaken the Diet Within (Warner Books) and The Vice Busting Diet (St. Martin's Press). I wrote for eDiets.com as the Master Motivator to their 14 million readers, as their management team emploded and my editor was terminated (John McGran/aka Mr Bad Foods), I left the company and am now a team leader at SparkPeople (very cool site, started by a former eBay founder w/ a mission to help 1 million people lose weight for free) I am also a distributor for a healthy, natural whole food based product and passionately stand behind it!
I also filed the first Obesity lawsuit against Coca-Cola for their ill-concieved "drink, choose, live" mycokerewards campaign. My suit sought to make the contest only open to those 18 and over and to lower the prize/drinking limit below deadly/toxic consumption levels. To win "sing like an idol" before my suit, they required 41,600 points, or 4160 12 pks or 49,920 12 ounce cans/bottles, for 7,238,400 calories or 2068 potential pounds gained!!! I feel like I won because they cut the prize limits in half, still deadly, but not as bad, however, 13 year olds are still allowed to enter and try to win.
And, I don't respect intolerant mean people with hidden agendas.
I am a wife, mother and dog lover.
