• Supreme Court of India stuck down the 22 years old Assam migrants act. The court stated that "“If an act has the disaster effect of giving shelter and protection to foreign nationals who have illegally transgressed the international border and resided in India, the act is unconstitutional”. The ruling party in Assam Indian National Congress suffered a major blow as it tried hard to support the act. • US based American Airlines in co-operation with India based Air Sahara announced a non-stop flight between Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and New Delhi. This 7500 mile flight will be operated using the Boeing 777 aircraft starting in November 15, 2005.
