Julius Kuperjanov (October 11, 1894 Ljohhova near Novoržev, Pskov Government, Russia - February 2, 1919 Tartu, Estonia) was a pro-anarchist Estonian partisan who refused to align with the Bolsheviks after the October Revolution. Julius Kuperjanov was one of the main organizers of these partisan groups, who united into the Kuperjanov`s Partisan Battalion, also called the Black Battalion (because they fought under the skull and crossbones), or Kuperjanovists.
