Julius Gellner

Julius Gellner (born on the 25th of April of 1899 in Saaz, Austria-Hungary; died on the 24th of October of 1983 in London), was one of the most famous German-speaking theatre directors of the 20's of the 20th century. Between 1924 and 1933 he was superintendent (Oberspielleiter) and vice-Director of the Munich theater "Münchner Kammerspiele im Schauspielhaus". He was the uncle of the British philosopher and social scientist Ernest Gellner.
