Julio Martinez, the weekly host of KPFK Radio’s Arts in Review, is a theatre critic for Daily Variety and Features Editor of Latin Heat Magazine. His articles have appeared in Los Angeles Times Magazine, The Hollywood Reporter, Backstage West, L.A. Stage Magazine, Westways Magazine ONDIRECTV and the WGA’s Written By, among others. In an earlier life, he performed as a guitarist, arranger and music director for such singers as Al Jarreau (7 years), Sarah Vaughn, Helen Reddy, Irene Kral, B.J. Ward, Michael Greer, Kay Dennis and others.
