Junior Detective Juliet O'Hara is a character on the American dramedy Psych played by Maggie Lawson. She is a recent transplant from Miami Beach, where she was brought up in a family of brothers and is suited for both the rigors of police work and the demands of her new partner, Carlton Lassiter, with whom she shares an encyclopedic knowledge of police code. Unlike her partner, however, Juliet is amused by Shawn Spencer and is open to the idea that sometimes a good lead is found outside of the Standard Operating Procedure.

O'Hara is the Junior Detective replacing Lassiter's former partner, Detective Lucinda Barry. She and Shawn first met in a diner, during which she was running point on a sting operation; in minutes, Shawn correctly surmised that she owns two cats -- one grey, one white -- and that her parents have been happily married for nearly 30 years. He also played witness to the first time O'Hara drew her firearm in the line of duty, and saw the apprehension with which she did so.

She seems to present a gentle counterpoint to Lassiter's gruff, loud style. She reminds her partner repeatedly to "be sensitive" with the media, the victims, and the witnesses of their cases, and even steps in during his announcement of Elvin Cavanaugh's death to offer condolences to the Cavanaugh family and counseling for anyone who witnessed the death. She also pays attention to aesthetic elements of her surroundings, pointing them out to her partner even when he ignores them.

According to Lassiter's web log, O'Hara has excellent penmanship, and received recommendations from both her training officer and sergeant. "Her Performance Reports made note of how efficiently she secured crime scenes and how enthusiastically she could cuff suspects twice her size."

O'Hara doesn't seem to entirely trust Lassiter. She pointedly tells him that she disapproves of interoffice romance, and calls him on his disregard for proper procedure when he self-authorized several stake-outs in pursuit of David Wilcroft's newly-paroled bank-robbery partners. Though she appears to have taken a liking to Shawn, she will not break protocol for him, refusing, for instance, to show him the Holby Bank robbery case-file; later, however, she does allow him access to the scene of Dr. Blinn's murder, despite Lassiter's insistence that Spencer not be allowed in.

Vick puts O'Hara in charge when the Interim Chief and Lassiter go to non-lethal weapons training. O'Hara enlists Shawn's help in the unofficial disappearance of Malone Breyfogle though she is unable to officially hire or pay Shawn. Through Shawn and Gus's investigation at Tri-Annual Comic Book and Science-Fiction Convention, O'Hara ended up arresting comic book writer Hiltz Kooler.

O'Hara worked undercover in the first season finale as an alumni vice parliamentarian in the Beta Kappa Theta sorority in order to find out what happened to a girl who died from falling out a window at a mental institution which was nearby. She ended up having to fight for her life when the suspect attempted to isolate her and attack her with an axe. Fortunately, Shawn, Gus, and Lassiter arrived just in time to help her.
