Julie March
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Julie March (portrayed by Julie Sommars) is the name of a fictional character on the television series Matlock, the assistant D.A. of Atlanta, and a good friend of Ben Matlock. After a chance meeting with Ben Matlock in an elevator, the two hit it off, and Matlock was surprised to learn that she would be the prosecutor for the case he was working on (The Nurse). The two lawyers soon became friends, though their relationship was never really defined much further than that, and upon Julie's return in The Confession, she revealed she had feelings for him.
[edit] Legal practice
Julie March was portrayed an a rising star in the D.A.'s office, and moved to Atlanta in order to further her career. She prosecuted a number of cases against Ben Matlock (often unsuccessfully), and even defended him on occasion when he was accused of jury tampering (The People vs. Matlock). She knew that Matlock was the best attorney, and sought him out to seek a re-trial for a former client of hers whom he found out was innocent (The Confession).
