Julie Fleeting (married name Stewart) (b. December 18, 1980, Kilwinning) is a Scottish international football (soccer) striker currently playing for Arsenal L.F.C. in the FA Women's Premier League National Division. She wears number 10.
The striker has become a cult hero in her homeland where the women's game is still struggling to find its place. During an unstable period for Scottish women's football Fleeting's goals became a silver lining. Fleeting has more goals (92) than caps (85) as of May 2, 2006.
Incredibly durable, Fleeting scored a hat-trick for Arsenal in their 2005 FA Cup Final win over Charlton Athletic Ladies only one day after suffering a shin injury playing for Scotland.
Fleeting had a spell in the now defunct WUSA playing for the San Diego Spirit.
She is the daughter of Jim Fleeting. She also teaches Physical Education in St. Michaels Academy in Kilwinning, North Ayrshire.
Julie is married to Livingston FC goalkeeper Colin Stewart
