Julia DeVillers is the author of the book How My Private, Personal Journal Became A Bestseller. She made a cameo in the 2006 Disney Channel Original Movie, Read It and Weep, which was based on the book. She also writes the Tuned In series sold exclusively at Limited Too, since the books are aimed for girls about pre teen age.

When Julia was younger she created a list of things she wanted to do when she was older. This list included things like, "be published" "have a cute boyfriend" and others. This list turned out to be the inspiration for How My Private, Personal Journal Became a Bestseller.
