Judy Feder is a Democrat who ran for the House of Representatives in Virginia during the 2006 elections.

[edit] 2006 House Election

Incumbent Frank Wolf (R) was expected to have an easy reelection in Northern Virginia's 10th congressional district until an October 10th poll by R.T. Strategies showed Judy Feder to be within 5% at 42% to Wolf's 47%.[1] Many sources from newspapers to bloggers took this as gospel truth, despite suggestions that the poll had oversampled Democrats. Late in the campaing the DCCC added Va-10 to their target list due to this poll, positive polling for Jim Webb in Northern Virginia, and excellent Feder fundraising. The DCCC also sent her a late contribution of $75,000.00

Despite all this assistance, and while running a spirited campaign in a Democratic year, Ms. Feder lost decisively to Mr. Wolf, 57.25%-40.89%, [2], running at least 25,000 votes behind democratic Senate candidate James Webb.

Ms. Feder has since returned to her position as dean of the Georgetown Public Policy Institute at Georgetown University, and has not indicated her plans for 2008.
