[edit] Uncontrolled Airspace
In your recent addition - do you have a citation for US controlled airspace topping out at FL660? I've heard it before but I wasn't able to find a document at FAA or ICAO, and standard basic pilot training doesn't mention it (which doesn't prove anything of course). I did find this at ICAO, but that's Europe only. David Brooks 23:41, 21 Apr 2005 (UTC)
I didn't write the 660 level myself. It was something already in the article and I assumed it true.
The way to check it out is to look at the USA AIP, the ENR section, and verify the airspace class for the FIR. Unfortunately I don't have access to the USA AIP.
Juan.
- Ah, yes, so it was (in the version I last edited :-( ), although that wasn't so specific about the US. I do remember trying to verify at the time, which is when I found the ICAO document. I guess it's not important to most pilots. David Brooks 14:30, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)
