Juan de la Cruz Ramos Cano

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Juan de la Cruz Ramos Cano (more commonly known as Juande Ramos) (born 25 September 1954 in Ciudad Real, Spain) is a football manager, currently in charge of Sevilla FC.

During his first season at the club, he won the UEFA Cup in the final against Middlesbrough, where his side won 4-0 and also winning the UEFA Super Cup beating european champions and fellow La Liga side FC Barcelona 3-0.

During the quarterfinals of the 2007 Copa del Rey against Real Betis on February 28, 2007 he was hit with a bottle on the head, and was knocked unconscious for some time. (1)

Ramos is extremely highly rated in Spain, and has previously been linked by his agent to the Chelsea and Barcelona, should the posts become free at the end of the season. The unassuming, hard-working coach was quick to deny rumours, however, as he looks towards stealing the Primera División from underneath Barcelona's noses.
