JTV
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
JTV is a commercial cable television station serving the Jackson County, Michigan metropolitan area, which has a population of approximately 162,000. It considers 120,000 of these people it's primary audience. The station began in July 2003. Since the area is not well served by Lansing based television stations, it is considered a primary media outlet.
JTV is carried on Comcast cable channel 17 and Millennium Cable channel 10. The station broadcasts 24/7 and carries "The Bart Hawley Show" a daily two-hour live afternoon talk show (the only live show on the channel), cooking, home, design and health shows, along with a weekly high school sports magazine show, and more than 160 annual high school sports broadcasts, claiming the title of "World Leader in High School Sports Television". It also operates a non-commercial education/local government channel called JTV 21. It has no connection to the local access service on channel 20.
