"JTV" is the third episode of the second season and the sixtheenth episode of the television series The Batman. It originally aired in North America on September 11, 2005.

[edit] Plot synopsis
Joker pirates the airwaves of Gotham in order to broadcast his crimes on TV as entertainment. When Detective Yin's overzealous new partner tries to bring the clown prince of crime down, he merely becomes Joker's latest "co-star." Batman must find where Joker is broadcasting from before he can carry out his plan to make Gotham die of laughter!

Bruce Wayne is watching a basketball game when Joker appears on the screen and introduces himself.
Meanwhile, Detective Yin is partnered up with Detective Shades "Cash" Tankinson.
Joker unveils part of his plan in a TV show called "Me and the Mayor". Mayor Grange is soon put under police security. However, one of the cops happens to be Joker wearing a mask. Joker takes Grange and escapes in his limo. Batman follows and defeats Jokers goons. However the rear of the bus is separated from the front and Batman escapes before smashing into a large truck.
Tankinson confronts Batman but Yin drives the police car very fast and nearly runs over Batman (giving him a chance to escape). Tankinson and Yin get mad at each other.
Joker gasses Grange and robs a bank. Tankinson goes after the clown prince of crime and almost captures him but is knocked unconsciuos by one of Joker's goons. Joker takes Tankinson and gasses him and put him in a cardboard kangaroo. Tankinson's grandmama calls and says don't harn him. Joker soon sees that only about $200 ranson paid and gets away.
Batman fights Joker and his goons. Yin saves Tankinson and Grange and also Batman saves the city from dying of laughter.
Grange and Shades are cured by an antidote left behind by Bats. Tankinson loses the partnership with Yin.

- Sometimes, Cash can be called as "Detective Shades"
Joker's line, "Same Joker Crime, same Joker channel", is a reference to the old Batman TV show, in which this line is said at the end of every episode: "Tune in next week, same bat time, same bat channel".
- This episode featured the titles such as WHAM! POW! along with the stylized music another reference to the old show.
- Joker's plot is similar to his in the first Tim Burton Batman (1989 film), as he even uses TV to tell Gotham.
