[edit] Renaming Wheel of Fortune's daytime version (1975-1991)

I want to let you know that you did your best to design your own article. However, it's just that I don't like the title because it's ugly--although it tried to be helpful, still an ugly title. I couldn't figure out any more ideas to rename that page, but here are my suggestions:

  • "Wheel of Fortune (daytime version)"
  • "Wheel of Fortune (NBC version)
  • "Wheel of Fortune (1975-1991)"
  • "Wheel of Fortune (1975)"
  • "Wheel of Fortune (1975 version)"
  • "Wheel of Fortune (NBC)"
  • "Wheel of Fortune (..." HELP!!

Seriously, though, we need to figure out a good title before making too many moves, that's all. --Gh87 22:06, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

I went to the page, and you renamed it "Wheel of Fortune (daytime version, 1975-1991)". Well, that's better than its previous title, yet I think it's ugly--probably because the parenthesis phrase looked too vague and obvious. Why not above suggestions I made? --Gh87 05:15, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
Almost forgot, go to Wikipedia:Requested moves for your own requests. --Gh87 09:26, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
I did use your suggestions, I just combined two of them. I decided that it needed both the description "daytime version" and the dates that the show was on the air. I'm not sure why that makes it ugly in your view.JTRH 15:35, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
I'll let you know that it is now "Wheel of Fortune (1975 US game show)" under these guidelines -- see the history log for proof.

[edit] Re:Wheel of Fortune daytime page

I received your message, and I did some edit. However, I don't know how to wikify the page, so I'm sorry I can't do that. But it's not your fault. I mean, you did your best, but I'm not sure if that article need wikification. But I put a tag there for no apparent reason, so maybe I'll change from {{wikify}} to {{cleanup}}. How's that sound? --Gh87 15:57, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

What would you like to clean up?JTRH 19:18, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
I don't have any single idea of how to do this. I bet you can ask someone else for you because I bet someone would do that better than me, that's all! --Gh87 05:12, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wheel possible flaws with that remark on the recent updates and Becca Rhime's win

How would I post it up if I wasn't even watching in Charleston, South Carolina? The show airs on NTV in Newfoundland & Labrador at 4pm Eastern Time. So it's not a spoiler unless you think the Wheel page here should be locked from 4pm to 10:30pm Eastern time so the west coast viewers won't be spoiled. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.118.108.222 (talk) 03:52, 15 February 2007 (UTC).

1. Her last name is spelled Rhine, as has been verified by the show. 2. The US doesn't get the show until 7 PM Eastern at the earliest. I politely asked if you could simply not change the show's Wikipedia entry until the show has actually aired, since I'd prefer not to receive spoilers in the form of changes to my Wikipedia watchlist. Thanks. I'm John. And you are...? JTRH 13:08, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Carolina Panthers

Better question, did you notice that since yesterday I've been creating historical articles for teams without them? Look at History of the Carolina Panthers for the whole historical crap. Soxrock 20:03, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

While I didn't want to get rid of the beginning of their history, I did want to get rid of losing spaces. Bad eras. Don't worry, nothing got "lost" permanently. Soxrock 20:18, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

  • I see you noticed Soxrock here trying to split the history sections from a number of NFL team articles. Unfortunately, instead of replacing the history sections with an abridged version like the one I did to Philadelphia Eagles more than a year ago [1], he has been removing selected eras, leaving huge gaps in the summaries. The most blatant one was this one I had to revert [2]. I kept up with him yesterday, but I do not have the time today to make abridged versions for the ones he did today. Hopefully, I will soon. Thanks. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 20:42, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sajdak

Thanks for the follow-up and additional info. I looked into it a little more and have realized this original spelling actually might appear to be correct. I find this all extremely interesting, as I never knew of this little factoid before! Just when you think you know someone, something new and unknown comes out of the woodwork; how exciting! Thanks.
