Bear with me as it's my first article! Check out my myspace for some silliness!

I currently live in Silvis, Illinois, the city of progress. So progressive, we're building a 1000 job hog plant and a super Wal-mart in our town.

Previously, I attended Mahomet-Seymour High School, Olivet Nazarene University, and the University of Illinois.

I'm a mechanical design engineer at Quad Cities Generating Station in Cordova, Illinois. Don't hold that against me- I like to think I'm computer science and electronics geek!

I enjoy visiting Chicago and the burbs quite often. (pretty much 2 out of every 3 weekends!)

I also am a big fan of alternative music, especially Britpop. Some of my favorite bands are Oasis, Radiohead, The Smashing Pumpkins, Franz Ferdinand, Our Lady Peace, and Kaiser Chiefs, to name just a few.

I also play guitar (a Fender Telecaster), amongst other instruments, and sometimes write music. I'm a fairly good musician, but alas, I don't have a band these days...

I drive a limited edition manual 2005 Mazda3 SP23 that unfortunately got ranked in the top 10 girls cars. To my credit, I bought this hot hatch well before the ranking came out!

Finally, I am a devotee of the PC video game producer Blizzard, and I've spent a lot of (too much) time playing the PC game World of Warcraft ever since it was in Beta, basically because I enjoy partaking in this grand social experiment that is the biggest MMORPG to date; not because I particularly enjoy quarreling with 13 year old freshmen in High School!
