[edit] Dvirgueza again

Hello. Yeah, I can see what you mean. It is becoming a real problem. If the user touches any of those articles we've been reverting lately and return them to his version, I will block him for a period of one month. I think it's the least that can be done now, considering he gives other users no ears whatsoever. One month sounds good enough to me. Long enough for someone to forget about things and stop kidding around. But that won't do much, since he's using sockpuppets and all. I think in that case, I should probably open a discussion about him on the Administrators' noticeboard, so that other sysops would get into it.

I'll wait until he goes out of line again, then I'll take that action. Better that way, or people might accuse me of being a fasty blocker. It has happened before.

About regular users having a "one-click reversion button", I'm not sure. If they used to have that, I really don't remember. I actually think that would be dangerous, since it would put admins and regular users in the same level when it comes to this. For things to stay stable in Wikipedia, I believe administrators have to always be a step forward. Otherwise, vandals win.

Thanks again for your input. If you need any help again, just send me a message. See you.--Kaonashi 23:58, 8 August 2005 (UTC)

I see you posted something at Vandalism in Progress. I'm not sure that was a good place to choose, but hopefully, it'll be good for something.--Kaonashi 00:04, 9 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Primary candidates VFD

Many of the candidates for the June 14, 2005, congressional primary have been proposed for deletion. I am writing those who worked on those articles to request that they offer their votes against the proposal. The VFD's can be found starting at Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/Log/2005_August_8#Peter_Fossett. It is my view that we ought to provide a complete record of the election and my deleting so called "minor" candidates we do a disservice to them and the historical record. Please vote against all these proposals.PedanticallySpeaking 14:54, August 9, 2005 (UTC)

I have absolutely no idea where the list came from. I would guess, if I had to, that it came from here. No idea the source for that. One would assume that the latter part of the list comes from Josephus, but I have no real idea. Surely some of them must be mentioned by Josephus. john k 06:43, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Hey, thanks for your support for the Tim Lynch article! You've worked on it before I even knew it existed, and I don't think it would be doing as well without you involved. I honestly think Lynch is notable enough for a wikipedia article, and based on an interview I had with him for a school newspaper, he is quite a remarkable guy. The editor who wants to see the article removed seems extremely biased, and downright malicious at times, it's a shame some people on Wiki have come to that! Anyway I just wanted to say thanks! Flypanam 03:19, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tim Lynch

What's wrong with the material on the novel character named after him, and the clarification that the characters from the movie and DS9 episode were not? I'd like to hear your POV on this. Nightscream 06:06, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

I asked you the above question almost a week ago, and you never responded, yet now you're again deleting info from the article. Why is this? In what way does any of that info violate NPOV? Nightscream 17:26, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dragon Ball movies

FUNimation's dubs aren't the only english dubs. "Bridge Entertainment" has also released english dubs of the movies & they have their own titles as well. Does that mean that the pages could be named after Bridge Entertainment's titles (Example: "Dead Zone" would be "The Pursuit of Garlic"). The reason I used the translations of the original titles was because that way it would be more universal.Linkdude20002001 10:01, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Harry Whittington

Hey. You removed [[Category:People shot by standing Vice Presidents]] from Harry Whittington with the edit summary "removing contradicted info on his religion, see Talk". I don't see how this could possible explain removing that category. The category is up for deletion, but it shouldn't be removed from the articles until that discussion is decided. [edit] Zen Kyo Shin

I was planning to put Zen Kyo Shin up for AfD, but I noticed that you had previously nommed it and then removed it. I don't see why it shouldn't be deleted. What was you reasoning? - Nat Krause(Talk!) 23:11, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

My reason for wanting to nom it is not really that it's not significant, exactly. The problem is that it reads like bad historical fiction. The author doesn't seem to be able to make up plausible Chinese names nor does he know very much about the history of Chinese Zen. There's nothing to indicate that this is other than a work of fiction. Since it doesn't say anything else about Zen Kyo Shin other than this fictional history, I don't see any reason to leave the article in Wikipedia. - Nat Krause(Talk!) 04:28, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the notification, Joe. Frankly, I don't have an opinion as to whether the AfD should be closed under "keep" or "withdraw". While the clear consensus was indeed "keep", the nominator withdrew the AfD before five days was over. And if I'm not mistaken, the article can still be taken to AfD again either way. Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:The Broadway Melody Poster.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] First female cabinet member?

Your user page is the second Google hit for "site:en.wikipedia.org female cabinet united states", so I think it's worth getting this right. Was Frances Perkins not the first female Cabinet member? The current Anne Armstrong article only says Armstrong was Counselor to the President. Please consider looking into this and repairing your user page or the Perkins/Armstrong articles. Thanks, k.lee 18:16, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

I need to review my source for that article, but Perkins was the first full cabinet member, yes. But other positions, such as Counselor to the President can have "cabinet rank", which is what Armstrong refers to. Or, so I recall from my research. JRP 06:44, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "Dragon Ball Canon" article

As far as I know, there are no official sources that go on to state what is "canon" and what isn't in the manga. obviously, fans have developed their own sense of what is and isn't over the years, which largely falls along the lines of "manga" vs. "anime and everything else;" Unfortunately, I don't know of anything you could really point to that actually spells everything out. Sorry I can't be of any more help...

[edit] Bureau of Insular Affairs

I just created Bureau of Insular Affairs, an article about the former agency that administered Puerto Rico and the Philippines from the 1900's through the 1930's. (Tomorrow or over the weekend I hope to create Bureau of Territorial Affairs which was the next successor to that agency.) I noticed that you had just the other day created a redirect from Bureau of Insular Affairs to Office of Insular Affairs, so I thought you might be interested to take a look at what I've written and please feel free to expand and improve. [edit] AfD Nomination: Star Trek: Of Gods and Men

I've nominated the article Star Trek: Of Gods and Men for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Star Trek: Of Gods and Men satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Star Trek: Of Gods and Men. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Star Trek: Of Gods and Men during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Hello, you have removed the WPBiography banner from King Crimson, U2 and AC/DC with edit summaries "removing WPBiography, not a biography of a person". See DesireCampbell's talk page for why I did that move. (Me | The Article) 03:55, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

SO, I'm guessing you want another Bardock vs. Burdock (Dragon Ball) and Hercule (Dragon Ball) vs. Mr. Satan cluttered-like talk page? Listen, I've been told more than once that not every single thing needs consensus. If that were true, we would NEVER get anything done around here. Besides, I'm not the one who originally closed the survey. It was another Wikipedian. Also, at the time, it was two against two and the other two didn't even give their reason why they disagreed with the move. Seriously, why is it and what is it that you disagree with the moving/renaming to Grandpa Son Gohan? (Me | The Article) 04:09, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
