[edit] Palazzo Pitti

Hi, Thank you for uploading Image:PittiPalaceFront.jpg I have used it as the final image in Palazzo Pitti. I don't want to use it as the lead photograph as the existing older "rose-tinted" one displays better the architectural concept of the corps de logis over the cour d'honneur. It also is one of the few photographs which captures not only the starkness and solidarity of the architecture but also the beauty given it by a certain light which is not always evident. Please have a look at the page and see if you can spot any left over vandalism or grammatical errors left over from the furious editing it received yesterday. It is easy to miss some when you have read it as many times as I have, Thanks. Giano | talk 09:56, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dr Strangelove

Hi, why did you remove the reference to A Planet for the President from the article on Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb?

All the best, <KF> 18:17, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reverted your Strangelove Removal

I reverted your removal of references to cartoons that featured references to Dr. Strangelove, restoring the deleted material. Simply believing that cartoons are stupid is not, I believe, a belief appropriate enough to warrant removal of material from an article. The very purpose of that section is to document popular references to the film. If you believe there is a case for removing those references permanently, I respectfully suggest you discuss your reasoning on the article's talk page. — WCityMike (talk • contribs) 12:26, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Highland Park High School

I re-added the Infobox to the Highland Park High School (Highland Park, Illinois). According to the Wikepedia:Manual of Style section 22.2, "Use HTML and CSS markup sparingly and only with good reason. Minimizing markup in entries allows easier editing". The school infobox contains the same, if not more information than the HTML one and is easier for others to edit. I notice that you have reverted to this HTML infobox before with the reasoning, "don't mess with the infobox". Because the new infobox does not display any differently than the old infobox, I am curious as your reasoning to this change? Please feel free to leave me a message on my talk page (you'll be the first) if there is a point I am missing. However, please do not revert to the HTML infobox without either justifying your revert on the talk page or in the edit summary box. Thanks. omtay38 22:47, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Please see Talk:Highland Park High School (Highland Park, Illinois) as it concerns edits you have made. omtay38 15:40, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Cannonballadderley2.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Cannonballadderley2.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:07, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
