[edit] Individual MUDs are considered wikipedia content?

I've noticed wikipedia articles popping up for individual MUDs lately. Examples are ActsMUD and WoTMUD. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of individual, active MUDs. On an individual basis they have very limited cultural impact, and are not notable. A single article describing MUDs in general would suffice to talk about cultural impact and history of MUDs, and this already exists.

I feel that these individual MUD articles don't belong in wikipedia. The authors of these singular MUD articles have also been linking their articles into general MUD wikipedia articles, which seems a lot like advertising. I've removed this in the CircleMUD article I helped author.

Well if the featured MUDs that are CircleMUDs are non-notable that is one thing, by all means delete them. However, since there are at least four other articles about individual CircleMUDs then it seems a bit strange not to provide the interwiki links at the CircleMUD page.
Of course there is the wider question whether any individual MUD games need to be included as separate pages at all? Zeth 1:48, 23 July 2006 (UTC).
All the links are non-notable in my opinion. I've put forth a AfD for one of them, ActsMUD. If that succeeds I plan to round up all of the individual MUDs I don't think are notable either.JRavn 21:06, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Should these articles be deleted? And what steps should be taken to get them deleted?--JRavn 16:30, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

If you don't feel that these MUDs are not notable (see WP:N), please read the instructions at WP:AFD and/or WP:PROD. Computerjoe's talk 16:33, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. It looks like these articles are already being disupted in their talk pages.--JRavn 16:34, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dota Allstar

Hey, about your Clan TDA edits: I don't really see the purpose in having the tdabots site and the safelist as I don't think that is important to the article (its more a part of TDA rather than DotA Allstars). I'm not going to edit it til we get some sort of concensus. eventine 13:05, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Considering that TDA are the ones that release and manage DotA Allstars, I think it's very relevant to include a section about them. --JRavn 18:24, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
