[edit] Ruger 10/22 picture

I saw the picture you put in the Ruger 10/22 article, and I was wondering if you had or could take some closeup shots of a loaded 40th anniversary magazine, to show how the rotary magazines work. If you don't have a camera with a macro lens, I've had good luck using a flatbed scanner for taking closeups-- and were both done on an HP flatbed scanner (click to see full resolution images). The depth of field is really short, but even stuff up to 3/4" from the bed is generally in pretty decent focus (especially if you scan at high res and then reduce the resolution in a photo editor like the GIMP). scot 15:11, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
