Joyce Falconer

Joyce Falconer was born in 1969 and raised in a housing scheme in Torry, which is a resilient, strong community across the River Dee from Aberdeen fish market. Educated at Tullos Primary and Torry Academy where her natural talents for performing and music were encouraged.

She then went to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.

Joyce has gone on to enjoy a successful career in Scottish Theatre but it is her role of Roisin Henderson in the BBC Scotland soap opera, River City for which she is now most renowned.

Joyce Falconer was invited to become an Honorary member of St Andrews Kilrymont Rotary Club in 2006.

Joyce writes and performs her own material,mainly in Scots and is an accomplished After-Dinner Speaker,Host/M.C and asset to any Burns Night
