User talk:Journalist2

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi Journalist2! Welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. There is a problem with your username though: it is too similar to that of our administrator User:Journalist. I suggest you request a username change to something more appropriate. If you have any questions on how to do this, feel free to leave me a message. AecisBrievenbus 20:45, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

A discussion about your name being too similar to an existing user is going on here: WP:RFCN#Journalist2_.28talk_.E2.80.A2_contribs.29, you are welcome to participate. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 20:51, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Hello, Journalist2. While there had been some discussion here about whether your username met Wikipedia policy on what usernames editors can use, the result was to allow it, and that discussion has now been closed. If you would like to see what concerns were raised, you can still find that discussion in the archive. You do not need to change your username. However, if you ever wish to do so, it is possible for you to keep your present contributions history under a new name: simply request a new name here following the guidelines on that page, rather than creating a whole new account. Thank you. -- HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 15:27, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
