Journey Through The Past is a soundtrack album by Neil Young.
Released in December 1972, the album features music also by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Buffalo Springfield, The Stray Gators, The Tony & Susan Alamo Christian Foundation Orcestra & Chorus and The Beach Boys.
Journey Through The Past is the soundtrack to the documentary film of the same name by Neil Young.

"For What It's Worth / Mr. Soul" - Sourced from studio tapes and mimed to on the television show "The Hollywood Palace" on January 20th, 1967
"Rock & Roll Woman" - Also taken from a television show, but it is still uncertain which show it was taken from.
"Find The Cost of Freedom", "Ohio" and "Southern Man" - recorded during a CSNY concert at the Fillmore East on June 5, 1970
"Are You Ready For The Country ", "Alabama" and "Words" - alternate takes from the Harvest sessions, recorded on September 26 and 27, 1971 at Neil's ranch, including conversations between Neil Young and the Stray Gators band.
"Handel's Messiah" and "King of Kings" - performed by the Tony & Susan Alamo Christian Foundation Orchestra & Chorus and recorded on February 10, 1972
"Soldier" - was the only new original song by Neil Young on this compilation, and would later reappear on the Decade compilation. Recorded in a sawmill to the accompaniment of a roaring fire from a sawdust burner. May have been recorded November 17, 1972, but this is unconfirmed.
"Let's Go Away for Awhile" - taken from the Beach Boys' classic album Pet Sounds.
