Journal of Virology

The Journal of Virology is an academic journal published by the American Society for Microbiology. The title is commonly abbreviated JVI and the ISSN is 0022-538X for the print version, and 1098-5514 for the electronic version.


The Journal of Virology maintains its premier position as a source of broad-based, high-quality, original research concerning viruses. It provides fundamental new information, using cross-disciplinary approaches of biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, morphology, physiology, and pathogenesis and immunity.
