Journal of Postgraduate Medicine (JPGM), a multidisciplinary quarterly biomedical journal, is one of the oldest medical journals from India. The journal is official publication of the Staff Society of Seth G. S. Medical College and K. E. M. Hospital, Mumbai, India. The journal is listed with all major bibliographic databases including Index Medicus, Current Contents, Science Citation Index, EMBASE, CAB Abstracts, Index Copernicus, AMED, etc.

The journal was established in the year 1955 and Dr NM Purandare was its first editor. The journal has always striven to maintain its independence, its quest for publishing quality medical literature and is committed to the idea of sharing its treasures with everyone despite the constraint of resources it faces. The journal is the first journal published from any medical college in India to be indexed with Index Medicus of United States National Library of Medicine.

The journal has won recognition for its quality production, for its well constructed website and for its commitment to open access.
