Who am I? Well, as the user name Jothelibrarian implies, my name is Jo and I'm a librarian. I'm 25, live in Loughborough, and am studying for an MSc in Information & Library Management in the Department of Information Science at Loughborough University in Leicestershire, England. I am a native of Moreton Pinkney in Northamptonshire.

I have an undergraduate MA(Hons)in History from the University of St Andrews in Scotland; and a postgraduate master's in Medieval Studies from the University of York.Before coming to Loughborough I worked as a graduate trainee at the Bodleian Library in Oxford.

In my free time I enjoy sport, especially long distance running. I am training for the 2007 London Marathon. If you're interested, you can read more about that on my Justgiving website. I also like books - which goes with the territory of being a librarian! Most of all, though, I like stuff. This is why I'm excited about Wikipedia - there's just so much stuff out there!

I am making my first tentative forays into editing/contributing to Wikipedia. I think it's a fantastic project and am very excited to be involved! I've made a few edits/additions to the encyclopaedia already, and now I plan to update and improve the section on the Bodleian Library. Since I worked there, I figure I'm a good person to do it!
