Forged valuable strategic alliances, co-branding partnerships, and affiliate programs. Successfully contacted, negotiated and signed contracts with large and often publicly traded companies, including but not limited to: Metro One Telecommunications, InfoNXX, Blackstone Wireless (iPrePay), CNN, Palm Computing, InComm, Motorcycle Services, Pep Boys, Strauss Discount Auto, Trilegiant Loyalty Solutions, Veteran’s Advantage, Road & Track Magazine, Direct One Marketing, Auto Club of America, Card Mart Plus, Universal Cash Express and RACO Wireless.

Conceived, designed and structured all business rules and front end design of a wireless application called Traveler SOS, which allowed clients to access all of the company’s products and services through a wireless/handheld/mobile device, rather than a voice conversation. The application was included in Palm’s release of the Palm 7X product, and was programmed into each unit to be available upon powering up of the handheld device. Information about the application was included by Palm in the literature found within the box/packaging. Versions of the application were created for virtually any operating system for any wireless/handheld/mobile device.

Created, patented and successfully pioneered the strategic development and tactical launch of the patent pending Pre-Paid Roadside Assistance Cards in over 7,000 retail locations across the United States, including Rite Aid, Staples, Advance Auto Parts and Pay-O-Matic. Successfully procured commitments from Wal-Mart (signed and fully executed vendor agreement), Exxon/Mobile and Family Dollar to launch Pre-Paid Roadside Assistance Cards.

Cultivated strong vendor relations with all corporate retail clients. Drafted cohesive strategy designed to maximize synergy between company and retail clients. As the leader in the business development initiative, held full management authority for attaining sales and profit goals of the organization. Guided 6 person business development staff in optimizing sales, gross margin, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction.

Stimulated continued growth with launch of then revolutionary marketing strategies, including below the line sales and other campaigns. Introduced national strategic sourcing initiatives and led expansion of corporate portfolio to include over 12,000 premium service providers in less than 4 years.

Led a startup with a 3-person executive team tasked with development, start up, and growth of this premier online, B2B and B2C sales firm. Formulated strategic vision, business plan, objectives, and first round funding; created fully functional corporate infrastructure to support rapid growth, all policies and procedures, operational, merchandising, and marketing strategies, an in-house call center, customer service system, performance benchmarks, and vendor/product fulfillment relations. Managed all of the company’s internal hierarchy and communication flow between departments including Sales, Operations, Technology, Call Center, Quality Control, Business Development and Finance.

Responded proactively to emerging industry trends, working closely with service providers and retailers to lead the evolution through business models, maintaining competitive advantage from conception to successful sale. Engineered and strategically positioned company as an incubator of business in the business to business and business to consumer marketplaces, growing to national ranking as the 4th largest roadside assistance firm in the country.

Led startup operations for initiating internal 24/7/365 call center. Over 7.5 year period, grew call center to employ over 150 call center representatives, with revolving shifts and alternating scheduling capacity, each maintaining over 35 reps per shift. Wrote complete call center operations manual. Wrote all business rules for proprietary call center application, which eliminated all paper activity and reduced normal call center rep to client time from 35 minutes to 9 minutes per client, significantly reducing overhead costs. Directly recruited, hired, trained and all call center supervisors and managers. Functioned as VP, Call Center for this department.

Played a heavy role in managing the company’s finances, particularly in management of the budget, P&L and setting strict goals and meeting financial projections. Focused and transformed business to accelerate corporate sales and counteract downward spiral in erosion of margins.

Elevated personal accountability and motivation among business development and sales personnel, heightened morale, reduced employee turnover and increased customer satisfaction through development of new, corporate-wide, performance based compensation programs.
