I believe the genealogy of the Speed family is off-topic per WP:NOT. A link to a genealogical web site is sufficient (except maybe for a brief mention of John Speed the mapmaker, since he seems to have his own entry.) However I'm pretty new and I don't want to be a clueless newbie, so I wanted to open it up for comment before I deleted anything. Thatcher131 05:03, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

I removed a few of the more offensive sentences that appear to be simply one editor's attempt to recast the entire argument. I would suggest finding a citation that affirms the removed points so we can all check that the statements are in fact accurate. Thanks. Wjhonson 06:06, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
