[edit] Trivia section

Trivia sections on Wikipedia are considered very bad form. All imformation within this section should be dispersed to apropriate places within the article. --The_stuart 18:52, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Moreno scored the Copa América's milestone goal number 500 against Ecuador.
  • He scored 5 goals on that match, a feat only achieved by 4 players in Copa Américas: Héctor Scarone (Uruguay), Juan Marvezzi (Argentina), Evaristo (Brazil), and Moreno.
  • That match between Argentina and Ecuador ended up with a victory for the argentine side by 12-0 (Copa América's biggest goal difference in a match of all-time)
  • Top Scorer of the South American Championship 1942 with 7 goals, along with Herminio Masantonio.
  • Chosen best player of the South American Championship 1947
  • Joint Third top-scorer in Copa Américas with 13 goals.
  • Holds the world record of being the only person to have won league titles in four different countries' leagues (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico).

Regarding your edits. I understand you don't like the title of Trivia for sections in Wikipedian articles, but sometimes it's difficult to categorized with another name short pieces of information that is far more clear listed that in normal prose. Moreno is a good example, with a bunch of anecdotal statistics that should not be ignored. In short, whether the section is called Trivia, Statistics, Achievements or whatever you want to name it, it is still the same thing.

On the other side, Wikipedia:Trivia is not a guideline but an essay. What's more, it might not "promote inclusion", but that doens't actually mean the the essay condems them. I believe it is better to have the information in a controversial format, than not having it at all. I'll restore the section, trying to fix what I can.
