Josh MacPhee

Josh MacPhee is an artist, curator and activist living in Troy, New York, USA. He established a distribution system called justseeds in order get more radical art projects out to the public in 1998. At that time, justseeds primarily offered art by Josh Macphee; now justseeds.org houses items from many other radical artists.

Josh Macphee is also the author of Stencil Pirates: A Global Study of the Street Stencil, which is dedicated to stencil street art.

Having graduated from Oberlin College in 1996, he also spent eight years as an artist and activist in Chicago, Illinois.
