Josh Kennedy (born 25 August 1987) is an Australian rules football player.
Recruited at number four in the 2005 AFL Draft by the Carlton Football Club, he made his Australian Football League debut in Round 6, 2006. Kennedy had a hard decision to make over whether to play basketball or AFL because both of his parents played basketball.
In 2006, Kennedy showed promises that he could be a future key-position forward. However, he struggled for ground time and form when playing at the AFL-level, scoring only 5.4 from his nine games. In the Northern Bullants at VFL-level, he was better able to show his skills with eighteen goals from his sporadic appearances, indicating that he will be a competitive AFL player in the coming years.
