Josh Ansley

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Josh Ansley was the bass player for the ska band Catch 22. Raised in Old Bridge Township, New Jersey, United States, Ansley was a Ford Model as a child/pre-teen and an actor. In high school, he played in Social Butterfly, an alternative band with the guitarist for his current band, Paul Spatola. He then joined the pop-punk band The Youth Ahead before graduating and joining Catch 22. He played a fretless bass when he started but later for Streetlight Manifesto he played a five-string bass. Ansley left Catch 22 a few months after the album Keasbey Nights was released, because he wanted to be an actor. Later he joined with Tomas Kalnoky to form Streetlight Manifesto. He played with them for a while before later leaving again to try for a career in acting — when he was replaced by Chris Paszik, who was recently replaced with Pete McCullaugh.

He is currently the bassist for the alternative metal band, Hurt, and resides in California.
