Joseph Priestley College was founded in 1955 and it serves the communities of South Leeds. It is named after Joseph Priestley, the famous scientist and co-discoverer of oxygen who was born nearby. The college has three Campuses in South Leeds, one in Rothwell, one in Morley and one in Beeston.
