From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Joseph Owens, C.Ss.R (April 17, 1908 in New Brunswick, Canada - October 30, 2005) was a Roman Catholic priest and philosopher. He taught for a number of years at the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies at the University of Toronto. His work centered on the metaphyics of Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas. His writings are essential for anyone working in this field.

(Note that Fr Joseph Owens, C.Ss.R is frequently confused in citations and library cataloguing with Fr Joseph Owens, S.J., author of a frequently cited work on Rastafarianism, and social worker and educator for many years in Central America.)
