Joseph Chilton Pearce

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Joseph Chilton "Joe" Pearce is the author of The Crack in the Cosmic Egg, Exploring the Crack in the Cosmic Egg, Magical Child, Magical Child Matures, Bond of Power, Evolution's End, and most recently The Biology of Transcendence (2002). He has a master's degree.[1]

One of his overriding passions remains the study of what he calls the "unfolding" of intelligence in children. He is a self-avowed iconoclast, who speaks out against the myriad ways in which he believes contemporary American culture fails to nurture the intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs and yearnings of young people. Part scholar, part scientist, part mystic, part itinerant teacher, he maintains contact with the most brilliant men and women in each field of inquiry relevant to his quest. He creates a unique synthesis of their work and translates the results into common language—a valuable contribution in these days of increasing scientific specialization. He travels worldwide to share his painstakingly garnered wisdom—freely—with everyone he feels can make a difference.[citation needed]
