Joseph A. Craig High School

Joseph A. Craig High School is a comprehensive public secondary school located in the city of Janesville, Wisconsin. It was constructed in 1954. Approximately 1800 students attend it from September through June.
The high school is on the east side of Janesville. The rival west side school is George S. Parker High School. Craig was formerly known as Janesville High School before the construction of Parker. It is named for Joseph Craig, who was instrumental in attracting the General Motors Janesville Assembly plant to the city.
In the summer of 2004 the gym floor, locker rooms, and weight rooms were renovated, which included the replacement of detoriating weight-lifting equipment.
In 2006 a referendum was passed that will allow the school to get several additions including
- renovations to the general classrooms
- addition of another art room
- a larger cafeteria so Freshman can have closed lunch
- a fieldhouse
- an improved ventilation system
