Joseon (조선, 朝鮮, also Chosŏn) is a name for Korea, as used in the following cases:
- The first Korean kingdom, Gojoseon, existed from 2333 BC to 108 BC.
- Korea was known as "Joseon" during the Joseon Dynasty from 1392 AD to 1910 AD.
- Korea under Japanese rule was named Chōsen in Japanese, a term which derives from the Korean Joseon.
- North Korea today refers to Korea as a whole, or sometimes just North Korea, as Chosŏn in the Korean language.
- The Commandery that briefly controlled the Liaodong peninsula after the fall of Goguryeo.

It is also used in the names of two prominent newspapers: the South Korean Chosun Ilbo and the pro-North Chosŏn Shinbo of Japan.
