Jose Jason L. Chancoco

Jose Jason L. Chancoco is from Iriga City. He writes in English, Filipino and Bikol. He is a member of Linangan sa Imahen, Retorika at Anyo (LIRA). He has attended the 2nd Ateneo National Writers' Workshop (English poetry), 3rd UST National Writers' Workshop (Filipino poetry), Ricky Lee's 14th Scriptwriting Workshop for Film and TV, 1st juliana Arejola-Fajardo Workshop for Bikol Writing (Bikol Poetry), 2004 Iyas Creative Writing Workshop, and 12th Iligan National Writers Workshop. His works have appeared in the Sunday Inquirer Magazine, Philippine Panorama, Philippine Star, Sunday Times Magazine, The Daily Tribune, Philippines Free Press, Philippine Graphic, Mirror Weekly, Pilosopong Tasyo Magasin, Kabayan, Moist, Sands and Coral (soon), Tomas, Ikatlong Bagting (LIRA Anthology), Bikol Reporter, Burak, Bangraw, In Our Own Words 4, Hingowa, The Flame, Kotapress (USA), Likhaan on-line, A Critical Survey of Philippine Literature, Nuvein, Little Brown Poetry, Stagger, Bayani, Fly on-line, Ambibo Quarterly, Muse Apprentice Guild, Silangan Shimbun and Dalityapi Unpoemed. He is also the Filipino and Bikol Editor of Dalityapi. His poems and essay have won prizes from the Talaang Ginto: Gawad Surian sa Tula--Gantimpalang Collantes (2nd Place), Premio Tomas Arejola para sa Lietraturang Bikolnon, Philippine Star and he is shortlisted in the 1st Maningning Miclat Award for Poetry.
