José Luis López (born 19 October 1979) is a Mexican football player.

He currently plays as a midfielder (usually on the right flank) for Club Universidad Nacional, a Mexico City team commonly known as the Pumas. He joined the Pumas youth system and worked his way through the ranks to make his first division debut in 2000, and is considered a great relief player, however this season he would try to become a regular starter despite scoring some important goals for the team last season.

Pareja was in the youth system since he was thirteen and was born in Mexico city. He was the league champion in 2004. He also won the santiago bernabeu trophy.
