José Higgins
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
On July 23, 1947, topographer José Higgins was working with many laborers in Bauru, São Paulo. Suddenly, they heard an extremely sharp sound. Some moments later, a big object landed near them. Its diameter was about 45 meters, and it seemed made of metal, grey colored and landed on the ground with also metalized “feet”. There was also a “ring” around it, making the object look like Saturn.
Higgins’ colleagues were scared and quickly left the place, leaving Higgins alone. Three 7 foot tall beings got off the object. They were wearing transparent clothes that covered all the body, and under these clothes, more clothes of intense colors. They carried a kind of a metallic box on their backs. Their bodies were thin, with disproportionate legs. There was neither hair nor eyebrow, and the head was big, as well as the eyes.
The beings attempted unsuccessfully to take Higgins to the ship. After, they pointed a gun similar to a pipe. Higgins noticed the beings were sensible to the sunlight, and tried not to stay in the shadows. He thrown small rocks and dodged them, showing his agility.
The supposed aliens then seemed to have given up the kidnapping and draw eight circles on the ground. In a fast but clear language, they explained Higgins that the central figure was “Alamo” and the seventh one, “Orque”, the latter being the place where they came from. This made most of the researches who studied the case believe that the beings came from Uranus. After, the beings got on the ship and went away.
Gordon Greighton, main researcher of the case, noticed the ship was similar to the one seen in Trindade Island, in 1958.
Another story featuring a similar ship is the one lived by a doctor of the Ejército de Tierra Español, or Spanish Army. He was studying at a place called Barriada de Montequinto. He heard a sharp noise and then saw a ship similar to the one described by Higgins, also featuring a ring around it.
The José Higgins case still remains as one of the oldest cases of the Brazilian ufology.
